This year marks seven years of Tipples and Tonics, making it the perfect moment to recognise the creativity and passion that founder Hannah Green has poured into her much-loved cocktail business. What began as a simple idea in her late teens has grown into a trusted name across Lichfield and beyond, known for vibrant recipes, friendly hosting, and a genuine love for bringing people together.

Hannah’s journey began at eighteen, when she first discovered her talent for making cocktails while working in a restaurant. She quickly found joy in experimenting with flavours and presenting drinks that felt both fun and imaginative. At home, she photographed her early creations and shared them online, gradually shaping her style and attracting an audience that appreciated her creativity. She said: “The turning point came when my mum suggested I host a cocktail party for friends.

“That first gathering led to another, and then another, and as word of mouth spread, without realising it, I had laid the foundations for what would become Tipples and Tonics.”

Running a business has brought plenty of surprises, and Hannah has embraced them with honesty and resilience. She acknowledges the challenge of managing every detail behind the scenes, the planning, organising, and decision-making that never truly stops. Yet through those pressures, she discovered unexpected strength within herself.

Anyone who follows cocktail trends will know that tastes constantly evolve, and Hannah has enjoyed watching those shifts unfold. A year ago, the Pornstar Martini ruled at many events, but it has since stepped aside for the margarita, especially the spicy version, which has become a firm favourite. Classic mojitos and daiquiris remain ever-popular, while her own creations, including the raspberry cooler and cherry bakewell, continue to win fans seeking something a little different.

With Christmas approaching, Hannah prefers not to focus on set festive packages, as she already offers a strong range of services. What she truly loves is crafting a seasonal menu that brings warmth and winter joy to every event. Christmas masterclasses are particularly popular, and she takes great pleasure in watching guests relax, experiment, and discover new flavours together.

Concluding, she says: “Lichfield holds a special place in my heart. Having lived here my whole life, my earliest customers came from the local community. Although my work now takes me to venues far and wide, I love every event I host in my home city.”

A standout moment this year was working at the Lichfield Bower, a celebration she remembers attending as a young girl. Returning as a business owner felt meaningful and filled her with pride.

Through all the growth, challenges, and achievements, Hannah remains most inspired by the creative moments. Designing menus, planning events, and bringing a client’s vision to life continue to be the parts of her work that make each day exciting.

After seven memorable years, Tipples and Tonics stands as a true reflection of Hannah’s dedication, creativity, and unwavering passion for her craft. Congrats Hannah!
