We had the pleasure of joining Sunday Socials ~ The Cortisol Reset recently, hosted by Alishia Farrington, better known as The Nutrition Doll, and what a wonderful morning of escapism it turned out to be. The event brought together a group of women all eager to pause, reset, and learn more about managing stress and supporting their wellbeing in a nurturing, welcoming environment.
The morning began at The Pilates Studio, where we eased into the day with gentle movement designed to calm the nervous system and release the tension we all unknowingly carry. The session was accessible, slow-paced and intentionally mindful, giving everyone space to reconnect with their bodies without pressure or performance. It set the tone perfectly for what became a beautifully grounding experience.
After the movement session, we gathered for nutritious snacks and uplifting refreshments, thoughtfully prepared to both nourish and delight. Conversations flowed naturally as everyone settled in, creating a strong sense of ease and togetherness. It was clear this wasn’t just an event; it was a safe space for women to talk openly, learn from one another, and step outside the rush of everyday life.
One of the highlights of the morning was the relaxed but insightful hormone chats led by Alishia. She broke down complex topics such as cortisol, stress responses, and hormonal imbalances in ways that felt relatable and empowering rather than overwhelming. Whether attendees were dealing with burnout, seeking better balance, or simply curious about how lifestyle impacts our hormones, everyone walked away with practical advice they could use immediately.
Alishia said: “It’s so important to take time out when you can, and my Sunday Socials are designed to help people do exactly that. We know that being part of a community is hugely beneficial for mental wellbeing, and when you combine that with practical health advice too, we create space for people to reset, recharge, and feel supported.”
What made the experience truly special was the atmosphere of connection. There was a real sense of community, women coming together to learn, share, and support one another. In a world that often pulls us in a hundred directions at once, having moments like these feels invaluable.
We left feeling lighter, calmer, and inspired, a reminder that taking even a small amount of time for ourselves can have a powerful impact.
If you’re looking for a blend of wellness, community and genuine care, Alishia’s Sunday Socials are not to be missed.
