In an age of quick fixes and mass-produced home improvements, finding a business built on genuine craftsmanship can feel like a rare luxury. Yet in Lichfield, Glazerite has quickly become a name synonymous with quality, trust, and a personal touch, and it all starts with founder Jack Warren, a man who has quite literally grown up around windows.

His story begins long before the company opened its doors in April 2022.

As a teenager, he spent his weekends and school holidays helping in his dad and uncle’s window fitting business, absorbing the practical skills, the attention to detail, and the pride that comes with a job done well. After gaining further experience in the industry, he returned to his roots with a vision: to build a company where traditional craftsmanship and modern standards go hand in hand.

Three years on, that vision has taken shape and what started as a small team has grown into a trusted local business, with Jack working alongside his brother, his colleague Les, and two highly skilled fitters. Together, they manage every part of the process, whether that’s installing glazing and veranda products or guiding homeowners through different designs that complement the character of their property.

Window trends may be evolving, but Glazerite has stayed ahead of the curve. Traditional flush-fit windows with timber-style joints remain a favourite among homeowners looking to enhance period charm, while the increasingly popular aluminium “Crittall” designs echo the elegance of old steel windows, complete with horizontal bars. These options allow customers to retain a heritage look without compromising on modern performance, durability, or energy efficiency.

For Jack, the work is more than just installation, it’s about connection. “It’s nice to be part of the community,” he says. “Most of our work now comes from recommendations, and we get a lot of repeat business. It feels good to be a place people can rely on.”

That community connection is reflected in the business’s Lichfield premises, which Jack and the team have been lovingly restoring since moving in last May. Nestled in a building rich with history, the showroom is full of character, original beams, unique architectural details, and hand-finished touches courtesy of Jack himself, who took on much of the varnishing and painting. The space has become a talking point for visitors, a blend of heritage charm and modern craftsmanship that mirrors the work the company is known for.

To celebrate their progress and to thank the local community for its support, Glazerite will be hosting an Open Day on January 31, from 10am to 4pm. Visitors can expect giveaways, prizes, and the chance to meet the team, explore the building, and see firsthand the quality and care that go into every installation. It’s a moment to celebrate not just the business, but the people and stories behind it.

Despite a growing client list, Jack remains as hands-on as ever. No two projects are the same, and that’s exactly how he likes it. He adds: “Every installation comes with our expert guidance, energy-efficiency advice, and a reassuring steadiness that has become the company’s hallmark.”

In just three years, Glazerite has carved out its place in Lichfield’s business landscape, a company grounded in craftsmanship, driven by community, and built on a genuine passion for good work.
