With small business week just around the corner, we are shining a light on a local gem, which is soon to be bringing the spirit of the festive season to the heart of our city.
Mangia Mangia, the much-loved deli on Tamworth Street, is hosting a wonderful late night shopping event from 19 December right through to Christmas Eve.
The experience promises something special for every family member and visitors can enjoy roasting chestnuts, live music and mulled wine, all while exploring a deli filled with Italian treats.
Shelves will be stocked with delights such as tiramisu pannetoni, panforte, Italian nougat and beautiful artisan olive oil pourers from local makers.
The winter drinks menu also gets a festive boost with the Italian ski slope favourite Bombardino and an extra thick, Italian hot chocolate. These join the usual selection of freshly baked pizza slices, daily panini and the deli’s much loved Lich-famous lasagne.
The celebrations don’t stop here. On 4 December, Mangia Mangia is joining forces with The Hub at St Marys for a Christmas Extravaganza that promises to be a highlight of the season. Guests will enjoy a lively three piece band, a spritz bar and a generous Christmas feast presented in true Italian style. This event brings together two cherished independents who share a passion for community and creativity.
Small Business Week reminds us just how important independents are to the life of our city. Mangia Mangia sums up everything that makes Lichfield special. Warm welcomes, unforgettable food and a team that truly loves the community it serves.
