“Self care is giving the world the best of you, instead of what’s left of you.” These are the wise words of Katie Russell, founder of Soul Yoga Relax in Lichfield, who talks to us this month about the importance of carving out time to enjoy a weekend of wellness that’s been designed to take us away from the stresses and strains of everyday life.
Katie has curated what sounds like a truly magical weekend of wellbeing in beautiful Wales. “We want our guests to indulge themselves in an immersive getaway of pure relaxation and deep self discovery,” she says.
“The weekend will be set in the heart of the majestic Cambrian Mountains from Friday 5th – Monday 8th July 2024 and we have teamed up with Wim Hof Method Instructors Rich & Hayley from Pachamama Yoga as well as plant-based culinarian Beckie of New Rootz Kitchen to bring guests a truly beautiful getaway.”
Katie adds that this entire long weekend has been designed to slow everything down, as guests are guided through transformational practices of yoga, meditation, sound, and breathwork, as well as hiking, wild swimming and taking time for you.
The Welsh Summer Sanctuary, as it’s been lovingly named, includes three night’s accommodation at The Lodge at Staylittle, which boasts stunning views from its yoga studio, as well as its lounge area and large bench style dining area. It’s perfect for those moments of unwinding and connecting with fellow yogis and is perfectly situated for stunning hikes that embrace nature, including waterfalls and wild swimming areas.
The Welsh Summer Sanctuary is fully inclusive of all delicious and nutritious plant-based food for the duration of the stay and is guaranteed to leave you feeling grounded and totally relaxed.
