Did you know that reading can actually increase your lifespan? A study published in the journal Social Science & Medicine revealed that when comparing an adult who does not read with those who read books for up to 3½ hours each week, those who read were 17% less likely to die over the 12-year follow-up, while those who read for more than 3½ hours weekly were 23% less likely to die and overall lived almost two years longer.

Why? Because reading reduces stress and helps with sleep.
